According to sir Clive, they will not be under the direct control of the 'driver'. You will basically tell it where to go and it will fly itself. It will be safer, much like the docklands light railway driverless trains are safer than the tube. (and not subject to loony left-wing strike action).

Am I the only one who covets the very front seat of those driverless trains, and has to sit on my hands so I am not miming driving the train?

I have spotted a few people in the front seats looking like they were driving the train from time to time though.

But every time I go past Tower Gateway, I have the urge to go on, and indeed sit in the front.

For instance, to get to Hyde Park, you hold down left-shift, function, ctrl and press H.

I heard a little of the interview on the BBC wireless. Sir Clive has completely lost it. Do you know he doesn't even use the intertubes?
